The world is a different place to what it was in our last reccession! Back in the old days, people were scraping together enough dried up bread to feed their children and now we think that not being able to take exotic holidays or not being able to upgrade our car every year or two means that we are really suffereing. Not so, I say!

Ok, life’s difinitely as rosy as it was a couple of years ago and those that have suffered with job and home losses will be feeling the downturn severley. but it’s still not on the same scale as it has been in the past. Most of us still have cars, TV’s and all the electronic gadgetry we could want, including mobile phones.

Now that brings me on to my next favourite subject! This reccession might not be as accutely felt as previous ones but to ensure we don’t get that far, it is essential we make the most of things and don’t waste money. One way we can all do that and still keep up one aspect of our current lifestyle is to recycle our property when we are finished with it and to buy recycled products. We can then sit back with the smug satisfaction that we are also doing our bit for the environment!

Mobile phone recycling is gaining popularity. It means we can upgrade our phones cheaper than buying brand new and the added benefit is knowing that our old phone will not go to waste. Rather than end up in some landfil site where chemicals and pollution will leach out into the atmosphere, the components will be broken down and re-used and recycled. Now isn’t that easy and cheap?

Advertising and marketing are two related areas that haven’t really suffered too much during the recession so far. That’s because competition for business is now fiercer than ever and everyone wants their business to be the one up there – out in front – on the tip of everyone’s tongue. The quickest and most effective way to do that is through a website that reaches further than your local neighbourhood. A website that delivers what surfers are looking for with eyecatching images and high quality copywriting services employed.

Copywriting services will not only ensure you have vibrant copy on your website that engages the reader but that it also complies with advertising standards now applied to online marketing communications. This will avoid your website being subject to any unwanted ASA sanctions, putting you one step ahead immediately.

Once you know you have compliant copy, make sure it is tailored to just your target audience precisely. Give them the information they need without having to trawl through reams of stuff that will soon see them losing interest and clicking off your site before they reach the checkout.

So the way I see it the black box insurance would be the perfect aid for lower premiumcar insurance for young drivers, it could save a lot of money and at the end of the day it would be MY money!!

Eyeglasses

I was shocked today after reading posts in a forum about the Opticians industry, the so called experts were debating how to respond to people who ask to have their pupillary disctance measured.

The debate focussed on some practitioners feeling threatened that consumers would want to know this information, others were looking for an easy way to fob them off but still take the money. The PD as it is called is an important factor when ordering eyeglasses but there is a distinct fear that allowing this information into consumer hands will enable them to get better deals.

Clearly many are worried about consumers price checking and getting information from eye checks and then going online to purchase. In a caveat to this you can also see that the manufacturers are now looking to compete with retailers as see by one recent takeover.

It seems as though the retail opticians are looking to act as a barrier to consumers who are looking for a price sensitive purchase and the forum supports this view, clearly many forum members are retail opticians and they are quite hostile to the concept of consumers heading for the Internet for their glasses. It was interesting to see them discussing ZenniOptical from the perspective of being a threat to their business.

At the end of the day the consumer has a right to get a quality product for a frugal price if that is indeed available, the practitioners will not be able to hold this back.

Health Insurance can save your life!!

This is very true, recently I was diagnosed with cancer, it was a fairly major shock but the location was good, it was in my bladder and this is quite treatable. I was very lucky to have health insurance, it was not just the fact that I could go private and still have my treatment paid for is was much more fundamental. There is not a shadow of doubt the private healthcare saved my life, going private got me into hospital in just a week, I had my operation and all seemed fine until the surgeon came round.

He told me that he suspected that I may have a more serious issue, he recommended a second operation to remove a kidney as soon as I had recovered enough from the first op.

Six weeks later I was under the knife again, my health was taking a battering, when I came round the surgeon told me he had removed the kidney and the fatty tissue around it, the cancer was just a month from breaking out and jumping to other parts of my body.

Why had my health insurance saved my life I hear you ask… well its simple, I was just one month from losing the dealine when I had my op, the first op and the second op were carried out just six weeks apart, when I was in recovery I had a letter through from the NHS, in my haste to go private I forgot to inform them I had gone private, the letter was offering me my first appointment, that would of been just around the time that the deadline for any preventable surgery had passed.

Health on Line saved my life

Well I have to say the tyres always seem to be wearing out on my car, even though I don’t cover many miles they are always being replaced, I save a fortune using etyres tyres but of course everyone tells me it must be down to my driving!!

Well last month I drove around with a higher state of awareness, no squeeling tyres for sure, no fast cornering leaving my tyres scrubbing out either. In fact I just drove as I normally do, its frustrating because the guys at Etyres like to have a joke about me constant attendance in the tyre shop.

Then I changed my car, on the old car I had my tracking checked and my wheels aligned but it didnt change anything my tyres just wore out fast. The new car is quite sporty and handles really well, I am driving it like I should, its fun and a joy and with the top down in sunny weather I am distracted from looking at my wear and tear. Am I in for a nasty suprise I wonder, these tyres are expensive, they are wide, they are low profile, expensive looking tyres!!

I suppose the Citroen 2cv that I was driving could have been at fault rather than me, it was 30 years old for instance… the wheels were like bicycle wheels and the tyres were so narrow they looked incapable of cornering, maybe because I live in the middle of an estate with 13 roundabouts has something to do with my tyres wearing out??

At the end of the day I am hoping that all my tyre problems are a thing of the past and the guys at etyres have seen the last of my 6 monthly visits.

Diggers for Sale from Construction Tradex

Ever wondered why you would need to purchase a digger or even how you would do it, well for some property developers it is making more sense to purchase a 360 machine than it does to hire one.

This latest trend is shown to good effect when the spotlight fell on this property renovation in France, its a French Watermill that is undergoing a large and fundamental rebuild including landscaping and drainage. Hiring a digger just didn’t seem to be an option to this developer so he found a website that had verified sellers in an online catalogue of plant and construction machinery.

The company is called Construction Tradex and they have a huge selection of diggers and plant, see how this particular vendor went down the purchase road rather than the hire road.

Party Packs Make Visitors Feel Good

If you’re planning a party, it really is advisable to plan it. We really don’t take pleasure in planning when it comes to parties, due to the fact we think it’ll ruin the spontaneity. But if you wish to tend to every single desire of your friends, overall it’s important. Party packs play an important role in any gathering.

Why are party packs so wonderful? Spectacular tinsel, funny hats, delightful wigs or fun poppers – each one of these products come together to create the right atmosphere. Any time people arrives at your home, they want to know they are really at the gathering. Why not place a wonderful party banner above the doorway so that they know they are at the right location? They’ll think it’s great.

Party packs are just one particular essential factor of this type of event. It’s also wise to think of plenty of wonderful tunes to fill your home with. Think about soothing jazz, energetic rock or memorable dance music. What type of folks are coming? Consider if the guests are unhappy and require cheering up, or if they are older and want slower, conservative songs. Having the most suitable music will help to make your party memorable.

Games are also a really good option to go with the party packs. Once again, think about who is coming over for the celebration and select suitable games. Huge games or tiny games, dynamic games or easygoing board games – select the most appropriate one for your guests. Games are a great way to make visitors socialize, growing to be pals very quickly. By the end of the party absolutely everyone should be in a excellent mood, and will recommend your get-togethers to their friends. Putting together a good get together is a reliable technique to come across new friends. You could possibly also get asked to their own parties also!

See why party packs help make visitors happy and acquire several top tips about how to employ them as part of a wonderful special event.

thinking into 2010 and my new extension i am currently checking out the guarantor loans market place, this is turning out to be quiet an eye opener as the difference rates applied to the loan are really varied.

we have had the plans drawn up and submitted the planning application which in due course was approved appointed a builder and prepared to undergo a massive shack up in our domestic lives.

having had one extension done before this second extension left us under no illusions of what our life would be like for the next four months. the main concern as we found out last time was the disruption to our two staffordshire bull terriers buster and bomber.

the poor little angels were really upset last time we had builders in although staffies are friendly dogs they are fiercely protective we learned quickly that anyone who comes to our house has to be introduced to the boys and made to feel welcome an example of this was the blokes we hired to remove all the rubbish they turn up at the front door and are introduced to the boys no problems the wander around the site pricing up the job and sat in the kitchen enjoying a cuppa with the family, the following week i receive a telephone call from the builders they are trapped in the back half of the garden and the dogs wont let them into the house, i found out that the builders had climbed over my back fence so breaking the dogs normal protocol and therefore were seen as intruders just goes to show staffies are a bit cleverer than i thought.
