Health Insurance can save your life!!
This is very true, recently I was diagnosed with cancer, it was a fairly major shock but the location was good, it was in my bladder and this is quite treatable. I was very lucky to have health insurance, it was not just the fact that I could go private and still have my treatment paid for is was much more fundamental. There is not a shadow of doubt the private healthcare saved my life, going private got me into hospital in just a week, I had my operation and all seemed fine until the surgeon came round.
He told me that he suspected that I may have a more serious issue, he recommended a second operation to remove a kidney as soon as I had recovered enough from the first op.
Six weeks later I was under the knife again, my health was taking a battering, when I came round the surgeon told me he had removed the kidney and the fatty tissue around it, the cancer was just a month from breaking out and jumping to other parts of my body.
Why had my health insurance saved my life I hear you ask… well its simple, I was just one month from losing the dealine when I had my op, the first op and the second op were carried out just six weeks apart, when I was in recovery I had a letter through from the NHS, in my haste to go private I forgot to inform them I had gone private, the letter was offering me my first appointment, that would of been just around the time that the deadline for any preventable surgery had passed.
